Ardleckna Labradors has been a responsible breeder of quality Labrador Retrievers since 2001. My puppies are whelped and raised in the house and treated as members of the family. They are well socialized by the time they are ready to go to their new homes at 9 weeks old.
My dogs have a superior temperament and friendly disposition, making them wonderful family pets as well as ideal therapy or performance dogs. Ardleckna Labradors are outgoing but not hyper, confident but not aggressive. They are show quality dogs which is important even for non-show homes. Correct conformation helps my dogs maintain good health throughout their lives.
I breed carefully. All of my breeding stock have health clearances for eyes, hearts (ECHO), hips and elbows. I also do genetic testing for EIC, HNPK, and PRA. I require the same clearances of any stud dogs I use. Results may be found on the OFA website.
All puppies are sold with Limited AKC registration which means the puppy cannot be bred or shown in conformation but may compete in rally, obedience, agility or any other performance event.
I only have one or occasionally two litters per year. Usually puppies are all reserved before birth. I keep a waiting list for future litters. If you are interested in an Ardleckna puppy please complete and submit the application.
